As soon as I saw this on Instagram, I was hooked. The resource is a 10/10. Easy to follow, engaging, an overall amazing unit to wrap up rhythm learning. The resource includes everything you may need to teach bucket drumming. The battles at the end were a hit with my students, regardless of level of competitiveness. I would strongly recommend using this in every music class!

A video of you doing the beatboxing popped up in my Instagram feed and so I checked it out. My 5th graders are going to like this! I appreciate the background information that comes with it and everything is laid out and easy to follow. Thanks for the resource!

Fun

If we aren’t having fun as educators, our students aren’t either. Our materials, activities and classroom structures should support that goal - having fun making and learning about music together!

My approach

Flexible

In a world where we’re expected to reach a variety of learning styles and student perspectives, responding to classroom dynamics in real time is the key to flexible teaching and learning - just like improv.

Fresh

Lessons evolve as you do. I keep my finger on the pulse of the global music scene and try my best to bring fresh, engaging content to my students every week!

(not) Fancy

Sometimes simple is best! Clean, easy and intuitive music resources are what make my teaching life easier and I’m happy to share those resources with you.
